The Nature of Sound is based upon the physical properties of air molecules. These molecules are moving chaotically at high speed through space behaving in a manner similar to a mosquito swarm.

Natural sound sources generate sonic energy by compressing and dilating this mosquito swarm thus creating superimposed density waves. In physics these density waves are formulated using the wave equation that describes local and temporal variations of sound pressure and sound velocity. Sound pressure multiplied by sound velocity is defined as Sound Intensity.
